Wideplate started with a simple habit of home: when guests arrive in San Antonio, you feed them well. We're a women-owned kitchen with deep Zambales roots, serving the classics we grew up on: cooked slow, seasoned with confidence, and served on plates that live up to the name.
"When guests arrive, you feed them well."
Come before the boat to Anawangin, or after a long day on the sand at Pundaquit. Either way, arrive hungry.
"The crispy pata was perfectly cooked: incredibly crispy on the outside with tender, juicy meat inside. The kare-kare was another standout. The peanut sauce was thick, savory, and perfectly paired with the tender meat and vegetables."
"A clean, modern-looking place with a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Good food, a clean and modern space, and a generally positive dining experience. Certainly a reliable place to eat when visiting San Antonio."
"The service was excellent, the time for the food to arrive was good, the taste was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Did I mention the delicious taste of the food?? It deserved to be mentioned twice!"
"My first impression was, this place is sparkling clean 😁 This, for me, is a huge plus. The service is great. The food was everything we ecpected. We ordered dinakdakan, veggie kare-kare, and sisig. For dessert, we had the palitaw. Everything was good 😊Happy that we picked this place for dinner after a walk at the beach. Thank you for the great dinner!"
"The area was clean, and the staff at Wideplate Restaurant were incredibly accommodating. As first-time visitors to San Antonio, we were so happy we found this place—the food was affordable and delicious, and they truly saved us from being hungry while making our visit even more memorable. Thanks for everything!!!"
"I have been to Wideplate multiple times since it first opened. Today was the best food we had. They have a beautiful new menu which I am posting. There is a new chef which explains the better food and new menu. I rated the food at 4 stars because it lacks salads and only 2 no protein offering. I am on a no meat/fish diet now so salads are a regular meal. I had the vegetable kare kare which was delicious. Next I will have the tofu dish. The Mango Shake has been upgraded also. It comes with a twisted straw and cocktail umbrella. Kudos to Wideplate for upgrading their menu and service."
"Tried their veggie kare-kare, kapampangan sisig and halo-halo. All were tasty and filling."
"A jewel in the heart of Zambales. Food: The delicacies were authentic and absolutely delicious. Our family enjoyed every last bite. Our favorites were the sisig, sinigang na bangus, crispy wings and squid sisig. Service: Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. Ambiance: Great pit stop for tourists. Value: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service."
"Ate here for our Lola's 80th birthday and they didn't disappoint. Super accommodating po ng staff and they even greeted our lola. For the food, I recommend the pork sisig and their special rice. Beef steak is also good! Portions are average, but definitely worth it!"
